JOY  NOT  STRENGTH



The Canadian Broadcasting Corporation releases "News Items" which reflect myth and misinformation about Marijuana to such a degree that it makes me wonder about the reliability of all of their reporting and all of the Canadian Broadcasting Corporations Reporters.  Virtually anything it seems can be said to CBC Reporters News Anchors and Documentary Makers and have blarney repeated and amplified throughout the vast echoing news organisation's hallways, their programing, their cometary, their repetition of nonsense absurd..

The other obsessively  repeated misinformationon the CBC on Marijuana websites and from the Marijuana sales groups are the exaggerated THC content annalists and of late some strange folkloric obsession that canibinol which I believe is the degrade product from tetra cannibol amide through tetra cannibol hydrate to CBD or canibinol   A theory is being advanced that the degrade product, in my opinion the old left around to long marijuana characteristics of lethargy tiredness and even stupor stabilizes the effect of marijuana and prevents unpleasant experiences.I would declare that the different experiences from pleasant to unpleasant, from active to in a state of stupor, from relaxed to on edge. The valuable Marijuana strain is the strain with the correct or desired turpine or turpinoid content.do not forget that the presence of a turpine if it could be accurately analyzed would still take into account the fact that some turpinoids act as capitalists enabling other turpinoids to be effective. Subjective evaluations and judgement and even the polling of users of specific strains of Marijuana can determine the usefulness, the economy and the desirability of Strains. 

|THC content is credited with producing different types of effect. That would be different types of pain relief, relaxation, activation and a host of other characteristics of the effect of consuming marijuana which are not dependent on THC content but upon the binding of the THC molecules to receptors in the brain and else where in the body which connectivity depends upon what turpines or more correctly or terpinoids are available and active in the marijuana product which is consumed.

The analysis and exclusion of heavy metals , pesticides molds and bacterial residues is an essential form of analysis. Gast chromatographs are instruments which skilled operators can use to detect the signature of metals in a sample which is burned, sometimes there are indications of a metal associated with a pesticide. Otherwise, the CSI TV program readouts are fake. Perhaps progress has been made of which I am not aware and there are annalists instruments available where unskilled persons can develop definitive computer readouts which would analyze,  quantify and qualify the contents of Marijuana and thus determine the effect and try to direct persons towards specific effects or to compete on the basis of purity or strength.

I wrote Live Rock Critic for a number of years. Imagine if I would have said that oh say Paul McCartney performed and I had analyzed his performance of being between 130 cps and 880 cps. 18 percent of the music was composed of base notes. The major chords used were A, Em and D.  There was a 4 percent feedback component and the fire works display was about 84 % of the maximum number of colours I have previously seen inn a fire works display.  Now that Ive cleared all of that up for you I am sure that absolutely no one would have any idea of what to expect if they accessed and viewed the performance what I thought the degree of musical excellence was as an experienced  music critic nor definitely whether or not they wanted  to view the performance.

The only review of the Paul McCartney performance at the Queen's Jubilee  would be a subjective review.

Subjective reviews of Marijuana Products are the only relevant reviews, with the exception of containment analysis.The review and quantitative and qualitative analysis of concentrates, edibles, derivatives  and such substances as Phoenix Tears is I believe an even more complicated problem of analysis and qualification.

Tests groups are the answer to evaluate effectiveness, the nature of relief which is produced by the use of different varieties of Marijuana and other important characteristics of strains of Marijuana.

 






 

HASHISH MANUFACTURING VERY SMALL TIME

 Hashish, made from bits of left over sugar leaf and broken bud and what ever glans heads can be scooped up, or scraped off of a table top which has been used for trimming can be separated from broken leaf and stem by screening through a 80 micron polyester or silk screen. The stems should be removed as much as possible before the product to be screened is scissored till it is the consistency of  tea leaves or sawdust.

It is preferable to place the entire hash making appliance with the scissored product on it in the freezer. 

       

Any sort of bowl which has a sturdy tight fitting top can be used, most of the center of the top is cut out.


The parchment paper will be seen in later photographs lining the bottom of the bowl.

Silicon parchment paper made for baking is inexpensive, readily available and essential as a surface which will not adhere to glans heads.

Silicon parchment paper is ideal to store hash.

Silicon parchment paper is essential to manufacture screened hash, to press squeeze and store concentrates.

Silicon parchment can be seen lining the bottom of this bowl which is stainless steel and ideal.

The 80 micron polyester screen which is used to top the hash making bowl appliance can be seen in the photograph above and can be purchased at artist's supply stores, blueprint supply stores and at specialty stores catering to hobbyists or growers.

The destemmed and scissored sugar leaf and bits of broken bud with any glans heads that could be collected is placed on top of the polyester screen.

In this photograph the polyester screen can be seen placed on top of the parchment paper lined bowl with the cut out top forming a retaining ring. There are other methods of securing a polyester screen to the top of a collecting container. It is advisable to have the silicon parchment paper extending up and over the sides of the bowl or collecting container and retained by the ring which holds the polyester screen in place. A sturdy plastic credit card is a fine tool to use to rub the product through the polyester screen.


                                                                                    
                                                                                                                          

Above is the credit card being used as it would to rub the frozen scissored destemmed product on and through the 80 micron polyester or silk screen.

To the right is an example of how the credit card would be used vertically to stir and to mound up the product to rub it through the screen again as demonstrated in the picture above.  






The credit card can be used as a scoop or shovel to carefully remove the undesirable material which did not go through the 80 micron screen.

In the bottom the bowl, in the non stick nest of parchment paper liner will be a drift of green, white or gold glans heads. Pick up the parchment paper carefully over a table top surface, fold it and pour the screened product into a smaller piece of silicon parchment paper.  Use the credit card to scrape the liner parchment paper carefully and pour that in with the rest of your screened glans heads.

The resulting product can be made into hash, using a heated press, heating it in a cocoon of parchment paper and then aluminum foil and pressing it with a gluing clamp or making it into a little bindle which you place in the bottom of your shoe under your heel for a few hours.  All of these methods will create really fine hashish.

                                                           MARIJUANA  TRIMMING

Marijuana buds should be partially trimmed before they are dried. The final product will taste better and dry properly if the large leaves and stems are removed before drying.

I toured a marijuana breeding facility recently and a bud was obtained of each of fourteen  varieties of marijuana.


The spring return scissors and rubber gloves are essential equipment. Gloves can be removed and dried crushed glans heads which is a charas type hash can be collected from gloves and scissors.

Trimming your personally produced and consumed marijuana does not have to be as exacting as the production of product for sale. As long as the bulk of the large leaves and small leaves which would interfere with drying are removed the marijuana can be placed on a screen and subjected to gentle heat and air movement. Specialty stores have many sizes of drying screens which hang one atop the other to accomplish drying efficiently in a small space.

Some commercial operators use various types of trimming machines. Expensive automatic trimming machines maybe effective for certain parts of some breeds of marijuana. hand trimming can more thoroughly remove small bits of stem which are embedded in the buds. Hand trimmed marijuana might command a premium price due to higher cost and higher quality product.  

SQUEEZE

HOW TO MAKE SQUEEZE

Squeeze is made by pressing, with great pressure, marijuana buds which are rolled into a pencil shape, moistened during the rolling process and then heated to about 230 * F. in between sheets of silicone parchment baking paper.     The squeezing process can be repeated.

A glass cylinder rim or special glass rod is  used to roll off the squeeze. The squeeze which is primarily melted glans heads, is rich in THC and Turpenes.  A razor blade scraping at a sharp angle is used to remove the squeeze which can be vaporized in many commercially manufactured appliances.

 Ridiculous:  Most of the information about Marijuana which I view on television is ridiculous. The exception which is an informative and factual report about marijuana does exist, but it is rare. Fortunately for them I have lost my notes about Barb, I think, the Culinary Cannabis Queen and the dispensary spokesman, I think his name was Charlie, both of these characters appeared on television as part of mainstream network news reports. I really think that reporters should be more careful about whom they choose to inform the public about Marijuana. Barb seemed to be grinding marijuana which she had decarboxolated by baking it in the oven, which is probably good  because otherwise the cystotilth hairs would irritate the stomach of anyone who ate the end product. Notably missing was the process where the marijuana was simmered in butter or coconut oil so that the turpins would be extracted and made available to be combined with food products and consumed in order to obtain the effect of the Marijuana. Her cooking procedures were as ridiculous as to sprinkle Marijuana on a piece of salmon and bake it in the oven. 

Equally ridiculous was the statement of a dispensary spokesman. "Marijuana dispensaries should be kept away from religious venues." What would the theory be: Marijuana use would lure them away from their imaginary friends?

It is just been on the crawl on CNN the Mitsubishi has been falsifying the scientific data regarding fuel consumption for  25 years. In addition, a large percentage of scientific papers are not scientific but falsified. This leads my train of thought and I hope yours to consider the latest studies which report indiscernible and unverifiable but terrifying and dangerous side effects caused by the use of Marijuana. In a prominently featured report an undergraduate student repeatedly announced that her study would prove that Marijuana use damaged the growing mind and created a potential for future personality defect and mental illness and that it made learning impossible. (once again). Within the last 5 minutes of the program the researcher announced that her project was inconclusive. That means there was no difference between Marijuana smokers and non smokers and no discernible defect caused by the marijuana use studied. Again and again I have heard prominent news personalities assert the unproven premise. News reporters should be more careful about where they get their News.

MARIJUANA MOTHER AUCTION

Marijuana sampling is a favorite new leisure activity for Canadians who require medical marijuana. Instead of purchasing the same old variety, medical marijuana customers enjoy trying the different strains of marijuana which are offered in small amounts as one gram or less. For a quite reasonable price the quality and effect of a strain of marijuana can be assessed. Consuming a new strain of marijuana can be a very interesting experience.                                                            

A medical marijuana dispensary owner who had purchased small amounts of marijuana from other dispensaries reported that despite labeling to the contrary many marijuana samples tasted very much the same and a similar effect. A case of distinction without difference according to my source.  

I mentioned that some dispensaries had 60 varieties of marijuana. The dispensary owner replied that flavoring techniques such as depriving plants of water and then watering with a flavoring solution such as jello! I am not sure if this method of changing the flavor of marijuana is illegitimate or undesirable. There is definitely a need to change the flavor of some marijuana. Whether that is done with orange jello or in some other manner would be something I would like to know about.  Feel free to post a comment.  

I toured a marijuana breeding facility. It is very interesting to see the growth of buds on closely related strains of marijuana. There are many different and interesting bud structures and incredible variations on similar aroma from plant to plant. The most successful plant varieties will be repeatedly cloned, replicated reliably over and over again. There can be a structural variation from the original seed grown mother plant. Usually other characteristics which the clones will have such as taste and quality of effect can be determined from the buds on the seed grown mother plant. Mother plants were beginning to be sampled several weeks before the buds are fully ripe, there is information to be gathered by studying the early bud.

A few years from now I would expect that breeders would hold auctions where growers would purchase stock. 

Some very serious businessmen would pick up their sample packs and perhaps pictures and videos. Stoners would be required to consume and test the subjective qualities of the various strains which would be offered for sale. I am not talking about getting a few clones to grow or breed, the winners of the auction bids would enjoy sole possession of the mother marijuana plant and any clones.

Hundreds of years ago there were enormous prices paid for Dutch tulip bulbs. I can just imagine the kind of competition there would be for the most desirable breeds of marijuana. The potential for the commercial growing of incredible varieties of marijuana would probably make new very desirable breeds of marijuana very valuable.  The additional potential which the purchase and growing of a strain would engender would be the ability to cross breed or cross back desirable strains of marijuana. There are well established techniques which can be used to stabilize or hybridize and thus destabilize a strain ( hybrid plants will reflect the characteristics of both male and female plants, in some cases hybridization will bring out the genealogy of a parent plant which was breed into the gene pool many generations earlier) or to feminize so that all seed created would produce female plants or to masculinize a strain or even a few blossoms and thus cross breed or cross back using a female plant.

I hear people are having fun trying little bits of marijuana, when the real fun begins they will take marijuana plants home and grow themselves the wonderful joy of new varieties.   

   

  

                                          HASHISH

Hash. Hashish Charas  are Marijuana products where the fibre and

leaf components of the plant are removed leaving only material which is composed of mostly glans heads. Charas, reputed to be the most pure and fibre free hashish is traditionally collected by rubbing hands on the resins ripe flower heads of marijuana plants or by rubbing the product against appropriate surfaces. the modern equivalent to a traditional finger roll hash would be the hash which is collected during the trimming of  Marijuana plants. The moist gooey resins which collect on sissors rubber gloves and fingers can be rolled into a stick, dried appropriately and smoked to be very much like an Afghan or Pakistan black hash product. Currently Erzatz black hash is produced from solvent derived extracts and ground up Marijuana. I would suggest this product is undesirable.

Black Hash which is dirived from broken glans heads through the Bubble Hash process is very different from Bubble  the Erzatz Black Hash and is desirable. The Black Hash raw material will be mostly in the 25 micron bag. This material should be dried very well and can be pressed into a very nice Afghan style Hash. Bubble Hash,  if genuine, will smell and taste very good and not at all of solvent. Bubble Hash made from unbroken glans heads will be in the 90 micron bag and it will be blond if it is treated and pressed properly. 

Concentrates produced from solvent extraction or from the very elegant pressing of Buds between pieces of parchment paper at temperatures which are indicated in the various internet tutorials on producing concentrates. Hashish is different from concentrates although it is derived from and composed of the same parts of the Marijuana Plant.

The most elegant of Hashish products are produced through dry screening. Traditionally it was believed that colas were beaten under different circumstances which allowed the collection of the glans heads. After a Marijuana plant is dried and is being finally trimmed up there might well be a silver colored dust on your nice clean processing table. Mixed in with the finger roll an excellent Hash is produced.

Hashish which is Lebanese or Moroccan style can be produced by rubbing properly ground Marijuana Buds and leaf which has glans heads on stems covering the leaf. This would be small leaves closely associated with buds which are trimmed off.   In Lebanon and Morocco mechanized screening machines rock back and forth sifting glans heads through screening material. The sifted glans heads can be pressed into slabs or sheets of Hashish.

Comparatively in North America Hashish is screened by hand or in rotary screening machines. Years ago high quality marijuana from the far east was allegedly screened and pressed in Morocco where every style of Hashish was produced commercially.

We have very high quality Marijuana in British Columbia today and some of the red and blonde hash is absolutely wonderful in taste and in effect and because it has been screened it should be the purest form of Hash or Marijuana particularity if the Marijuana was organically grown without the use of pesticides.
